Besides teaching, I have coached numerous sports over the years. My greatest passion lies with track & field, which I have coached at the high school varsity level since 2001 at Andrew, Northeast, Central DeWitt, and currently at Easton Valley. I have also coached the following sports : middle school basketball (2002 – 2003, 2008 – 2009, 2012), high school football (2001), and high school softball (2006).
Personally, I am married and have three children. My wife, Melissa, and I were married in 1997. My first son, Casey, was born in 2000 and my twins, Luke & Lindsey, were born in 2004. I am very fond of baseball card collecting and maintain numerous aquarium / terrarium set-ups at school (and at home during summer). My favorite “things” include the Chicago White Sox, Star Wars movies, and the shock-rock band KISS. I am involved with volunteer activities including Cards For Kids, Easton Valley Bike Rodeo, Saber Co-Ed Track & Field Camp, and Vacation Bible School. I also keep busy working on the side as a driver's education instructor and contractor with my father constructing roofs, decks, siding, and performing miscellaneous jobs.
